i have found a few blogs wondering over the weirdness of the belly button lint experiment by Dr Karl (which i could show if my archives were working – that i blogged a while ago now. yay me!).
every thursday on triple j – dr karl spends an hour on air discussing all things science. people can ring up and ask him questions and because he has a really broad knowledge of science he answers the questions, and when he gets stuck listeners can either leave an answer on the messageboard or dr karl will do further research on it.
so the belly button lint experiment started when i reader rang up wondering why belly button lint is the colour it is. i even listened to the show when it all started. woohoo!!
dr karl is really popular. i think karl said the other week that this huge number of schools around australia tune in to his show on triple j during sciences classes because it’s a great way to get kids interested in science because it isnt the same boring old crap. hmmm – can you tell i am a fan?
