The cousin and I went and saw the film Hard Candy on Friday night. We both really enjoyed it.
If the idea of pedo’s just squicks you waaaay too much you will probably have issues with the start of this film. It starts off with a 14 year old girl and a 30-something photographer talking on the internet and meeting up in real life. They are super flirtatious with each other, though the girl at times does the cute, young embarrassed thing REALLY well. 😀
They go back to his house and just when you think it might get a bit dodgy the girl drugs HIM and things change.
I seriously dont want to share what happens after this because its sooo cool! But she seriously fucks with this guy – body and soul! It was fantastic!
There were a number of times when things would be said and my cousin and I totally cracked up – and we were the only people in the cinema laughing – but we have come to the conclusion we may be more deranged than most other people in the cinema.
Oh – I noticed people coming in late and a bunch of people showed up after the tables turned, so it happens fairly early, so they missed the start which I think is important. So if you get to the cinema late – pick something else – you gotta watch the whole thing!
So yeah – highly reccommended. The end does leave a few niggling questions which bugged the cous but i like stuff like that. 😀
