A new obsession?

It might be shortlived – but what the hell! I shall share.

So last week on lj i was just clicking through people interests just out of curiosity and came across this chick who liked an author i did and in her interests she had Joey McIntyre. Well i loved that guy when i was 12-14 so i clicked on his name and in the list that came up was a bunch of communities about something called Wicked which he is starring in atm.

It turns out to be a musical (based on a book) about the event that occur in Oz before Dorothy drops in. The Wicked Witch – Elphaba – and Glinda the Good witch are friends.
I went to the Official site and read a bit about it. Then thenext day at work asked my friend Sarah, who is a fiend about musicals, if she had heard of it. She had and had the cast recording on her Ipod and ‘did i wanna listen’. OF COURSE!!

So I sat there at work listening while I worked and I just kept crying in certain songs. One big blubbering mess. I loved it!

So now I need to buy the cast recording and can only dream of seeing the show sometime. I also want to get the book it is based on.
I also joined an lj community about it and asked the kids and they supplied this site that has the dialogue between songs (DONT READ IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE SPOILED!!)

Anyways – my curent fave songs are I’m Not That Girl (ah – yes we see ourselves in that lil song…hmm) and Defying Gravity.

No wizard that there is or was
is ever gonna bring
me down!!!

Yeah…slightly new obsession!!! ^o^
Lets hope it doesnt lead to me saving pennies to run off to New York to see it!
