Eek. Have I mentioned on here that i saw the Prisoner of Azkaban on Sunday? My friend scored a double pass to a preview. It doesnt come out here in Australia till tomorrow.
I really want to see it again because watching it is sort of like seeing Fellowship of the Ring – i was so excited about it that it could have been shite and I probably would have loved it. I need a second viewing to get a better idea. But overall I really enjoyed it!
There is definately a different directorial style, and while I love the first two films, it was delightfully rerfreshing. It felt very different. The layout of Hogwarts has changed – things like Hagrids hut and the Whomping Willow are located further away from the castle and its definately an improvement for the better.
There was plenty left out, and I can deal with that, what I had trouble with is the glimpses of things that I wanted more of.
I loved how after the quidditch match you saw all the kids leaning over Harry, and Neville and one of the other blokes (was it Seamus???) had their faces painted in Gryffindor colours. And near the beginning with the boys chewing on those things and making animal noises – it was just brief glimpses of normal things that made me so happy. ^o^
I wish there had been more of Weasley Twin goodness, and damn they HAVE to get Peeves into these films – SOMEONE PLEASE!!! Book 5 – when he salutes the twins when they leave – its like the greatest moment EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyways – so I am probably going again on either Friday or Saturday. Maybe I will write a better review then.
I thought the end was a bit blah. But the end credits scrolling across the Marauders Map was cool! ^o^
And I do have to say – though Draco is an annoying prat, happily there was quite a bit of screen time for him so I was content! Though where was our Goyle? There were lots of scenes with Draco + cronies and you had Crabbe and some other bloke, no Goyle! That guy is growing into a babe – I was very sad!! >.<
Yeah – I am sad…..
Fangirling managed.
