i cant recall what it is advertising but at the moment there is an ad on aussie tv with the Violent Femmes Blister in the Sun as the ‘jingle’ song. i dont know if its the real song or a cover but it sounds just like Gordon Gano singing. once upon a time i used to listen to the Femmes quite a bit – it was all my best friends fault. she bought Why Do Birds Sing and Debacle and we used to listen to them a lot. anyways – i think the Femmes are too cool for stupid tv commericials – but i hope they are raking in the dough because of it!!
