anyways – last nite i went to an AIBO seminar at Sony Style down at Fox Studios. dragged one of the girls from work with me. god they are cute! at the end they got us to do a survey and when we handed in the survey we got a showbag with a dvd, cd and just some other sony advert-type stuff like their current catalogue, and also some aibo stickers.
they were showing us things like AIBO Navigator, AIBO Messenger and AIBO Master Studio.
anyways – i asked the main guy talking at the seminar if the new AIBOs would be out in oz anytime soon and he said they might be out here next year.. 🙁
after that they had a little competition using AIBO Navigator where you had to control the AIBO and get it to kick the pink ball across the line in the quickest time. i was in the lead for a while at 1 min 50 secs but the last person beat me. she got a sony discman, i got a sony cassette walkman and the guy in third place got AM/FM radio headphones. tres nifty! so yeah – lotsa freebies – am sooo glad i went.
but its just so evil – the two guys there had an AIBO each and they had VAIOs too…..i want fun toys!!!!!!!

also at fox studios last nite they had the aussie premiere of a Beautiful Mind and after we left Sony Style me and Jayne were wandering along and she was saying something but my mind was off somewhere, and these people walked past us and as they did she banged my arm and said “russell crowe!!”. turned out he’d just walked past us (with about 6 other people – bodyguards or something?) and i hadnt even noticed. am so proud!!!
now if it had been one of my LotR fellas i may have either shot myself or gone running after him 🙂
