friday five ::

1. What was the first thing you ever cooked? Not sure – but the earliest thing I can remember cooking was ANZAC biscuits with my granny..

2. What’s your signature dish? Either a snazzy chicken stir fry thing (i dont do the rice though) or the amazing rebecca version of my grannies chicken soup. left to simmer and boil for at least two hours baby! GOD ITS GOOD! I wish it was winter so I could make it! Stays edible for quite a few days in winter. And if you keep adding water and more chicken and veggies it can be a never ending pot! AH! I want some!!

3. Ever had a cooking disaster? (tasted like crap, didn’t work, etc.) Describe. Two come to mind – both occured in 1993 when the parents went to europe without us kids. First was what me and the sister fondly refer to as the ‘garlic infested waters’ where we were cooking something and wanting to add a little garlic and emma shook the thing a bit too hard and half trhe container emptied into the saucepan. The other was making some chicken and we had this tandoori stuff and we had no idea what we were doing and just dumped the stuff in and 20 mins later the brother, sister and i are all standing there going “is is supposed to be fluorescent pink?”

4. If skill and money were no object, what would make for your dream meal? Ooh – just a nice meal at my fave chinese restaurant, start with Sweet Corn and Chicken soup (i could happily stop there and just order more bowls of that), and then as main for me i would like either the Chili Chicken or the Chili King Prawns – hey I’ll just get both, with the restaurants yummy beef fried rice. a few glasses of coke and i will surely be full when i am done. YUM! i wanna go there right now!

5. What are you doing this weekend? Am supposed to be going to the second gathering of the #atb sydney kids (first one was only a few weeks back). depends on whats happening with the trains. other than that i plan to sleep and work on my websites again.
