In the last few hours I have been trying out a site called Poupeegirl. Its another dollmaker-type site, but this one encourages contribution and community spirit. When you first sign up you have a very basic wardrobe to put on your doll (poupee). When you first save your avatar you will get some ribbons. Ribbons are the sites currency. You use them to buy more clothes for your avie.
One way to get both ribbons and items on the site is to upload your OWN real pictures of clothes/shoes/accessories from your own real life wardrobe – anything fashion related (it must be your own photos and items – if they think the pics arent your own they will delete them and take back the ribbons and items you were given). People will then comment or click on the Suteki button to say whether they like your stuff or not.
Its pretty cute and I have already got a few cute items.
i dont have any friends yet as I dont want to just randomly friend people. If you are a member and you want to friend me please go for it!
Anyway, its a Japanese site and parts of it ARE in japanese but when I signed up the whole sign up process was in english and most of the text when I use it is english also. So thats nifty.
Anyways – I like these cute sites where you dress up your avatar. Hell, I have been a member of Gaia since 2003 and I still visit it every day. So sad!
