Melbourne and the weather gods quest to kill me!

So – I ran away to Melbourne for 2 days to see reset0. Awesome.
Andy just had to stop in the middle of the gig and TELL EVERYONE!! I should have just warn a big sign saying ‘massive groupie loser from another state’. >.<
Melbourne was soooo fucking hot. OMG!!!!!! When I got there on Friday morning and went to the hotel, I collapsed on the bed and didnt move again till after midday. Finally dragged myself outside to wander around in the heat and bought 2 second hand cds and a pair of shoelaces from Toxic (yep – i went CRAZY with the spendage!!).

I was making this big long post about everthing I did…a lame blow-by-blow account but it was supremely boring – so thankfully you miss out!

The gig was cool – except people just stood there…WTF??? I was one of the few people sort of bopping around…and if you have seen me I mostly bop in a restrained manner because 1) things bounce in a most unpleasant manner :p and 2) one of my knees does obey me too well when dancing after dislocating the kneecap a few times in high school. YAY!

After they finished, shawn deemed me worthy of a hug for some reason :D, then I sat around for a bit, talked to a few peeps then wandered upstairs to find Melbourne-Karen who then went over to the dance floor and we watched for a bit then some song came on that she HAD to dance to so I sat and watched. I was highly entertained by the spectacle that was the dancefloor. Some peeps – including Karen – could dance and looked cool. Some not.
There was one girl who looked like it was her first time in a goth cub…and she was dancing majorly unco but she kept dancing like a trooper, and it was just so cute!!! There was also this bloke wearing a fishnet-kinda top….and you know there are people who should just NOT wear such things and he was SO one.
Hmm – there was other stuff I was giggling at but the only other one I recall was the hoola-style dancing girl.

Anyways when I went back downstairs because Karen and I were off in search of food I saw Andy and he said if he could wake up he’d come into the city and we would hang. After I checked out in the morning I was sitting round planning a nice long nap in Hotel Bakpaks foyer for the rest of the day but was pleasantly surprised to get a message from Andy saying he was on his way to the city!
So YAY – hung out with Andy and Han all afternoon. Wandered the streets….wilted in the heat…watch the A-man suffering from hayfever and fall asleep in Starbucks. Han and I were most amused and took photos and stuff.

Train home was like an hour late and then kept stopping in the first hour out. I must have slept quite a lot of the trip but I remember being awake a lot too. When I got out at Sydney at 8am this morning it was already stinking hot! Was very glad train to the mountain showed up in 20 mins. Didnt leave for another half hour though.

Slept most of the day. Wasnt easy because Emma stole the fan….man I hate the heat!
Anyways, its cool outside now but the house is still an oven, I have my window open but its not doing much because there isnt much of a breeze.
I think this summer is going to kill me! >.< ] Anyways I had to take my shitty camera with me to melb so all my pics from the gig suck. God its piece of shit. I couldnt ask to borrow dads because we have been having major arguements lately.
Hehehe – that reminds me – while i was in the train this morning waiting for it to leave Central there was this elderly looking asian couple with what I assumed was their grandson. The older guy was taking photos and he took one with the lady and the little boy with the Central sign behind them and then as I watched he gave the camera to the little boy to take a picture of him and his wife. So the little boy would hold it up but couldnt look through the lens and press the button at the same time…he tried like 6 times!! It was sooooooo cute!
