bah. browser went to heaven and ate my post!

on tuesday at work there was a copy of the current issue of PC PowerPlay. had stuff about a few nifty games that i would like to get, or at least try out – Summoner, Alone in the Dark and Zoo Tycoon (all hail the sim gaming FREAK! btw – link is to an unofficial site – microsofts site for it is presently too lame to bother linking to)

its wacky. these days i want to get new games and play them all the time. i remember when i would play one game and one game only to death. i played Sim City 2000 almost exclusively for 3 years becaise 1) i had no money for other games, 2) even if i had the money our computer was in major need of an upgrade and so had trouble playing more recently released games.
i loved that game. i have never got a city in Sim City 3000 looking like my major city in SC2000. there were very small patches of salt water so i could have a few desalinization plants, and a small lake surrounded by water pumps but every other square of that city was covered. i had heaps and heaps of arcos. i would never loose money and i would walk away from the computer for hours at a time just letting the clock tick over and make me more money.
then i would go nuts and send a series of disasters at the city till l but a few tiny areas had been burnt down to rubble. i would then clear up and start over – but i had so much money it didnt matter.
and i am sure when i would send my on-going disasters at the city i would see this little guy flying around – in the newspapers wasnt there always some reference to some superhero guy “only so and so can save us now”? i always assumed the lil guy i would see during the nuclear meltdown/fire/biohazard cloud/flood/tornado/aliens attacking was him.
