i am really enjoying the book I am reading right now. i only get to read it at lunch or on the train (when i am not catching up on sleep) and its annoying because when i start to read it i always have to stop when something interesting is going on. i guess as well as being science fiction the computery stuff in it appeals to my geek nature.
i was browsing the science fiction/fantasy shelves of Collins Booksellers in Penrith last saturday when i saw the title “This Alien Shore” and my brain immediately said ‘that sounds familiar’ and lo and behold when i looked at the cover it was painting by Michael Whelan. anyways – so that was enough to make me buy it – i have never gone wrong in buying a book that has a michael whelan painting on the cover…..i know one day its gonna go all wrong but i am still waiting.
