I think this is a groovy idea and I hope it succeeds for him. I read on Stephen Kings site that when you pay the $1 it takes you to Amazon to pay it, then takes you back to the SK site to download. I think if Amazon let you pay using Paypal then ol’ Stephen-baby would get his money.

I doubt though that a new author would be able to do this – I think only established ones could do something similar. Maybe fanfic authors with an established fanbase could do something like this – or maybe just have a Paypal account and ask those that liked their work to leave a donation if they feel like it. I think that is a nice idea. I can think of one fanfic author I would definately give money to…if Paypal let non-Americans like me have accounts!
